Brigitta tried to help King Magnus and Queen Blanche to live better, even though they did not listen to his advice.
Throughout his life, Brigitta received a gift of appearances and special messages from God. He also met leaders and important people in the Church to convey God's message.
After her husband died, Brigitta left her luxurious life. She distributed his wealth to his children and the poor.
Saint Brigitta chose to live as a poor nun. Later, Brigitta formed the Order of the Redeemer known as the Brigittin Order.
Saint Brigitta continues to do good deeds of service by traveling to various places. Jesus continued to reveal many secrets to Saint Brigitta. Despite this privilege, Brigitta remained humble.
In 1371, Saint Brigitta made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. At that time, Brigitta received sightings of what Jesus had said and done in those places.
After returning to Italy, Saint Brigitta suffered severe illness. On July 23, 1373, Saint Brigitta died in Rome at the age of 71. She was buried at the Poor Klaris Monastery St Laurensius at Panisperna. The following year, the body of Saint Brigitta was transferred to Vadstena monastery in Sweden.
All the revelations and messages Jesus sent to Saint Brigitta about the Passion of Jesus were published after Brigitta's death in Rome.
One of them is the 15 prayers and promises of Jesus to Saint Brigitta from Sweden. She was canonized by Pope Boniface IX in 1391. The church celebrated the celebration for Saint Brigitta every July 23.
